myibay auction bid sniper software for eBay. I use this software for long time and it really helps me to win a lot of items on eBay. Got e-mail from developer.
Original price is $12.95 (or $10 on eBay). Price after 90% coupon is $1.30 only!

Coupon code is "myibay-thankyou". This coupon works with Google Checkout only. Expiration date is June 8th 11:59pm PDT (until the end of this week).

From myibay eBay sniper website: "eBay Sniper is a program which helps you to bid on eBay auctions such a way so you can get an item you need at the lowest possible bid. This is achieved by placing your bid at last seconds before auction ends."

More information: myibay sniper download page
Terms: One coupon per customer.

eBay sniper. Allows you to bid on eBay's auctions when you sleep and/or your computer is offline.

There are free programs out there mentioned in this thread that are just as good if not better. The original poster is just trying to get people to buy his software.

My own investigation:
The difference is that all of them are either strictly PC based (you have to keep your PC on) or strictly Web-based (you have to use your Web-browser to manage which give you less convenience).
Myibay is a hybrid software (Windows-based managing and Server-based sniping) or... free for web-based (if you don't want to pay).

what's your point?

These things only help because people are stupid, take it personally when they're outbid, and then get into a pointless bidding war that only benefits the seller. Just bid the maximum amount you're willing to pay in the first place, and leave it at that. It's not that hard.

My personal opinion:
Some really old versions were not vista compatible when I used it long time ago.
Since then they made several updates and it works on my Vista with no problems.
Maybe you just need an update..

The smartest thing is to bid your max amount in the last few seconds of the auction and not bid earlier than that. This prevents people who take your bids personally from upping the ante because there is nothing they can do if you bid in the last few seconds. It's not smart to bid early on in an auction if you actually want to be the top bidder at a reasonable price.

It does not always work -- if one bidder is into bidding war with your proxy bid, you will never get it

Yup, if you bid your max right off the bat you get nibblers who will drive up the price. That is why you bid in the last few seconds. It's just common sense.

As a seller, I love suckers that use these tools.

First, they are easy to detect. When I see one, I have my shill drive the price up, and I end up getting a lot more than I normally would. Of course, I get my share of defaulting buyers, who get negged and banned off eBay, but they learn soon enough to avoid my auctions.

I never do it on people who are being legit. Yes, I know I am violating eBay T&C, but I think this type of software makes the playing field uneven, so I help smooth it out for the "regular" eBayers.

You must not sell that much if you didnt know sellers cant leave negative feedback on buyers any more.

Should have clarified; prior change, it was negative feedback. Now, "negged" is directly contacting eBay about the welching buyer. Not quite that same, but it works.

But it brings up a good point - eBay "reputation" is now completely worthless without the negatives. They went and did something very dumb. In 5 years, better markets (with real reputations) will emerge and displace them.

what's your point?

The point is you're clearly just another low life FW spammer...

my .02 - I know it's not free (1% fee), but i've always used http://esnipe.com/ . It's been very reliable, no downtime, and I usually get a snipe win. Such automated bidding tools do save a lot for the buyer on auction style listings. There's really no need to bid on an auction style listing til the end.
